WooThemes make awesome premium themes and plugins

Today we are sending a few 100 high-fives to the awesome people over at WooThemes who as our ‘Gold’ sponsor provided a generous £500 to the WordCamp Sheffield budget 🙂

Who are WooThemes?

WooThemes have a huge portfolio of WordPress themes that cover most niches.

All of their premium themes are powered by the versatile WooFramework which gives you not only a beautiful site but some incredible flexibility.

WooThemes (despite the name) also make some of the most awesome premium plugins out there – this includes the awesome WooCommerce, a game-changing eCommerce platform that is totally FREE to download, use and build on.

Conference tickets sold out

Last week we sold our 100th conference ticket and are officially sold out – this takes attendance levels to:

  • 100 conference attendees
  • 18 speaker passes
  • 20 volunteers/helper tickets

That’s almost 140 people and our venue can hold a comfortable 150 – max (room 2 only has space for around 95).

Will we release more tickets?

As yet I just don’t know sorry – if you missed out stay tuned, we are checking with our sponsors to see if they are using their full allocation of tickets and with the venue to see if we can fit any more chairs in the main hall.

Don’t miss the next WordPress Sheffield meet-up which has food, drinks, talks and is on the 8th of April at 7pm at Harrisons 1854 – which coincidentally is the after-party venue for the conference :)

State of the ‘Camp

WordCamp Sheffield is just 5 weeks away and things are coming along nicely 🙂

Right now we’ve managed to:

What next?

Over the next month we’ve got to shift the remaining lot of tickets, confirm the after-party venue (almost sorted), order the awesome t-shirts (can’t wait to see these) and get the final catering booked.

Helping you help us

All of this awesome stuff will be happening at Mappin Hall in Sheffield City Center. We’re working with our local buddies to find out the best spots to stay overnight and park. We highly recommend public transport when attending the WordCamp as Sheffield has a great network of trains buses and trams (also, the venue is about 10mins walk from the main train station).
